The Inkrewsive Hip Hop Collective brings together rappers, producers, dancers, and creatives with disability, neurodivergence, and mental or chronic illness. It’s a space to develop your voice, build confidence, and connect with others while working towards your goals in hip hop and the wider music community.
Whether you’re just starting out, returning to hip hop, or ready to take things further, Inkrewsive offers consistent support through workshops, mentoring, and real-world performance opportunities.
What you’ll be part of
Weekly Workshops and Skill Development
Take part in facilitated sessions led by experienced hip hop artists, covering rap writing, beat making, recording, performance skills, busking, and video production.
Creative Development and Collaboration
Write, record, and develop original material while collaborating with other artists and building your own style and approach.
Industry Insight and Guest Artists
Learn from guest hip hop professionals who share their creative processes and industry experience.
Performance and Real-World Experience
Build confidence through regular opportunities to perform at open mics, gigs, and group busking sessions in the local community.
Mentoring and Pathways
Access one-to-one mentoring with professional artists, producers, and video makers to develop your skills and work towards recording and releasing music.
Connection and Community
Be part of a supportive and inclusive community, make friends, and build networks within Melbourne’s hip hop scene.
Accessible, Supportive Environment
All sessions are designed with accessibility at the centre, supporting participation at all levels.
Who it’s for
This program is for emerging to established hip hop artists and creatives with disability who want to build skills, connect with others, and take part in the music community.
When and where
Runs weekly on Thursdays, 10am–2pm, at WAH Studio, Meat Market, North Melbourne, with additional mentoring available by arrangement.

Payment Options:
NDIS
If you have an eligible NDIS Plan you will need to use this to pay for your participation. Your Plan will be charged at NDIS Price Guide rates, or if self managed at a negotiated rate, for the hours of support provided. We usually charge your Core budget under Community Participation support item codes, but can also charge your Capacity Building budget if there’s funding available.
Non NDIS
If you are not NDIS funded and have no other funded support, chat with us about cash fee options.
