Looping as a Songwriting Instrument (2-Part Series)

  • WAH Studio 5 Blackwood Street North Melbourne, VIC, 3051 Australia (map)

Discover how looping (the process of repeating sounds or musical phrases to build layers) can become a creative tool for songwriting in this two-part workshop program. Used by leading artists such as Ed Sheeran, this is an exciting, fun way to get your musical ideas happening quickly. Led by some of Melbourne's best "loopers", this hands-on workshop will teach participants how to create musical beds, rhythms, melodies, and textures to create dynamic, original music.

Participants will learn how to work with looping technology to build songs, combine different sounds, and explore new ways to develop ideas for songwriting and live performance. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to expand your creative toolkit, this series helps you gain confidence in using technology as part of your songwriting process.
