Come along to the next Band Incubator showcase gig on Monday 21st September, from 5:30-8PM at Mamma Chen’s in Footscray!

Wild at Hearts’s brand new BAND INCUBATOR program empowers people with disabilities, neurodivergence, mental & chronic illness to create music in a supportive band setting. Build confidence, musical skills, community and create music with peers.

This gig will be showcasing all the songs people have made in Term 3!

Open to all skill levels; Bands are formed based on current skill levels and what instrument/s participants are interested in playing. Led by an experienced musician (Band Mentor), bands work at their own pace, with flexible approaches to participation, access and support, creating space for every artist to grow and contribute.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTES:

• This event will unfortunately not be Auslan interpreted

• The entrance of Mamma Chen’s is on Albert St, with ramp access for mobility aids

• There is a video pinned to @mammachens on instagram regarding accessible path from Footscray station & other features in the venue

• 1 accessibility parking spot out the back of the venue, on Raleigh St

• Plenty of regular parking nearby

• Accessible bathroom on site

• Free earplugs & ear-defenders to borrow

• Variety of seating available in the bandroom (stools, chairs and benches)

• Strictly no use of strobe lighting
