Wild At Heart’s Band Incubator brings together musicians with disability, mental or chronic illness, and neuro and gender diversity to create original music, develop skills, and connect through a shared band experience.
This is a hands-on, collaborative program where you’ll be placed in a band that matches your style, interests, and experience. Across the term, you’ll rehearse each week,, write songs together, and shape your band’s unique direction—working towards a live performance at a Wild At Heart showcase gig.
TERM 3 2026 is a 10-week program starting on the 15 July and finishing on the 16 September, with the showcase event on the evening of Mon 21 Sept.

Musicians with disability of all skill levels who want to:
Play in a band
Build musical and creative skills
Connect with others through making music
Work towards a live performance
When & Where:
Wednesdays (weekly, 10-week commitment)
Each band session is 1.5 hours long and scheduled between 10:00am – 4:00pm

What to expect:
working with a professional musician facilitator
Weekly rehearsals in a supported, inclusive environment
Collaborative songwriting and arranging
Skill development in playing, listening, and working as a band
A clear creative goal: perform live at the end of the term
Payment Details:
NDIS
If you have an eligible NDIS Plan you will need to use this to pay for your participation. Your Plan will be charged at NDIS Price Guide rates, or if self managed, at a negotiated rate, for the hours of support provided. We usually charge your Core budget under Community Participation support item codes, but can also charge your Capacity Building budget if there’s funding available.
Non NDIS
If you are not NDIS funded and have no other funded support, we have various levels of cash fees depending on your situation.
